Grammy Awards 2011, tutti i vincitori

Sono stati consegnati poche ore fa allo Staples Center di Los Angeles i riconoscimenti della 53esima edizione dei Grammy Awards, gli Oscar della musica, che quest’anno hanno premiato gli album messi in vendita tra il 1° ottobre 2009 e il 30 settembre 2010.
Tanti nomi nuovi per un’edizione 2011 molto ricca dei premi, aperta da Lady Gaga trasportata come una regina in una specie di uovo-bozzolo: Proprioi lei ha vinto il premio per il miglior pop vocal album, “The Fame Monster”. Le varie previsioni della vigilia sono state stravolte: Eminem, che aveva dieci nomination, ha vinto un premio principale nella categoria rap per il suo album del ritorno “Recovery”: con lui si è presentata Rihanna, che inizialmente molto casta per “Love The Way You Lie”, poi ha ballato molto sensualmente.
Come miglior nuovo artista ha vinto la giovane Esperanza Spalding, una jazzista che si era già esibita alla Casa Bianca per il presidente Obama. Miglior album dell’anno è “The Suburbs” di una band davvero indie, gli Arcade Fire. Trionfo anche per il giovane trio country Lady Antebellum, con cinque premi su sei candidature, tra cui quello per il miglior singolo “Need You Know”. Come miglior album rock premiati i Muse ed il loro “The Resistance”.
Tra i momenti principali del lungo show la performance di Mick Jagger, partita dopo il tributo annuale a chi nell’ultimo anno ci ha lasicato nel mondo della musica. Jagger, traendo proprio spunto dall’ultimo scomparso citato, Solomon Burke, a sorpresa ha intonato la celebre “Everybody Needs Somebody to Love”. Ospite anche, per ricevere il premio Persona dell’anno, la cantante Barbra Streisand, che non appare più molto negli ultimi tempi ma che quando lo fa lascia sicuramente il segno.
Premiato anche l’italiano Riccardo Muti: al momento convalescente dopo un intervento al cuore al Northwestern Memorial Hospital di Chicago, Muti ha trionfato assieme alla Chicago Simphony Orchestra e al coro per la registrazione del “Requiem” di Verdi.
