TV USA 2006/07 (2): ABC 16/05/2006

Secondo giorno degli "upfront" americani: oggi sono stati presentati i palinsesti del network americano ABC per la prossima stagione TV 2006/07, come potete leggere nel palinsesto (da me realizzato) pubblicato in alto.
Aggressivo l'ordine di nuove serie del network: ben 15, tra cui cinque serie drammatiche (The Nine, Six Degrees, Men in Trees, Brothers & Sisters, più le serie midseason Day Break e Traveler), una serie comica (Ugly Betty), sei sit-com e tre reality-varietà. Importante mossa lo spostamento di Grey's Anatomy, giunto alla terza stagione, al giovedì sera alle 21.00, contro il successo C.S.I.: Scena del crimine sulla rivale CBS.
Tra le serie che non torneranno con nuovi episodi le sit-com Hope & Faith, Freddie, Perfetti… ma non troppo (che concluderà in estate la sua quarta ed ultima stagione), Rodney, Sons & Daughters, Crumbs, Emily's Reasons Why Not e Jake in Progress; le serie drammatiche Commander in Chief, Invasion, In Justice, The Evidence e Alias, e il documentario-reality Miracle Workers.
A sorpresa è stato rinnovato il telefilm What About Brian (che nel cast annovera anche il nostro Raoul Bova), di cui sono stati da poco trasmessi in America i primi 5 episodi con ascolti non soddisfacenti.
Per gli appassionati di Lost da segnalare che, per evitare repliche in mezzo agli episodi inediti della terza stagione, la ABC trasmetterà da metà settembre i primi 7 episodi, poi interromperà la serie per qualche mese per trasmettere l'inedita Day Break, e Lost tornerà tra gennaio e febbraio 2007 con il resto degli episodi del terzo anno ogni settimana fino a maggio senza alcuna interruzione.

Lost – Episodi 22, 23 16/05/2006

Ieri sera lunedì 15 maggio penultimo appuntamento con la prima stagione di Lost su RaiDue: sono andati in onda gli episodi 22 e 23, in cui abbiamo scoperto qualcosa in più su Kate (Evangeline Lilly), che addirittura cerca di avvelenare Michael (Harold Perrineau Jr.) con l’aiuto di Sun (Yunjin Kim) per far incolpare Sawyer (Josh Holloway) e riuscire ad ottenere il suo posto sulla zattera quasi completata, con cui alcuni naufraghi si apprestano a lasciare l’isola. Mentre gli altri naufraghi hanno scoperto che Kate è in realtà una fuggitiva, un flashback della donna rivela i suoi momenti felici con l’ “amore della sua vita” Tom (MacKenzie Astin), che purtroppo è poi morto. Jack (Matthew Fox) intanto viene a conoscenza dell’esistenza della misteriosa botola, e il piccolo Walt (Malcolm David Kelley) spaventa un po’ Locke (Terry O’Quinn) dicendogli di non aprire la botola… In seguito, nella prima parte dell’episodio finale triplo della stagione, è ricomparsa la francese Danielle Rousseau (Mira Furlan), con un avvertimento sugli “Altri” che popolano l’isola e che arrivano preceduti da un fumo nero. Mentre Michael e Jin (Daniel Dae Kim) si preparano a lasciare l’isola con la zattera insieme a Sawyer e Walt, Danielle porta Jack, Locke, Kate, Hurley (Jorge Garcia) e Arzt (Daniel Roebuck) alla misteriosa “Roccia Nera”, che si scopre essere il relitto di un galeone quattrocentesco. La zattera intanto parte, e mentre Jin prima di andare via si riconcilia con la moglie Sun, Walt lascia il suo cane Vincent a Shannon (Maggie Grace). Nell’episodio, inoltre, attraverso i flashback dei vari protagonisti si possono vedere le loro ultime ore prima di imbarcarsi sul volo Oceanic Airlines 815, e tra gli altri Jack conosce al bar dell’aeroporto Ana-Lucia Cortez (Michelle Rodriguez), un’altra passeggera della sezione posteriore dell’aereo.
Un paio di curiosità del doppio episodio di ieri:
– Si scopre che il vero nome di Sawyer è James Ford.
– Quando Walt sveglia Michael all’inizio del secondo episodio, l’ora sulla sveglia indica le 5.23… un’altra apparizione di uno (23) dei “numeri maledetti” di Hurley.
Sempre ottimi i dati Auditel, addirittura in salita alla decima settimana: 3.847.000 spettatori con il 14,27% di share.
Lunedì prossimo 22 maggio alle ore 21.00 su RaiDue gran finale con gli ultimi due episodi della prima stagione, la conclusione del triplo episodio finale “Esodo”. Mentre qualcosa di inatteso accade ai naufraghi sulla zattera, i sopravvissuti sull’isola cercheranno di aprire la botola in mezzo alla foresta, non senza sorprese…

Insolita parentesi contemporanea per questa rubrica, con l'attuale singolo "When You Wasn't Famous" dei The Streets, progetto del rapper e musicista inglese Mike Skinner (nato il 27 novembre 1978). Primo singolo tratto dal terzo album "The Hardest Way to Make an Easy Living", uscito lo scorso mese, il titolo contiene un voluto errore grammaticale (avrebbe dovuto essere "When You Weren't Famous").
Ahhh se… Right see the thing that's got it all f*cked up now is camera-phones.
How the hell am I supposed to be able to do a line in front of complete strangers, when I know they've all got cameras?

The celebrity pages in papers don't tell tales that are always to the line of the truth.
It's ‘til a line at which most likely you'll have the time, or enough finance to sue.
Which is why it's so frightening buying papers in the morning fearing the next Mike Skinner scoop.
‘Cos I used to believe what I read, so now I know that others will believe that it's true.
But I realised, with you the truth could be, a whole lot worse than the flack.
My whole life I never thought I'd see, a pop star smoke crack.
And I must admit I was quite shocked, with that thing you did with me on my back.
But, outside in the lobby, I shouldn't have laughed when you slapped that man.

Which is ironic, ‘cos in reality, standing next to you I look f*cking soft.

We both know the scratches on my back, much better than the alludes and lies.
I miss the bitchin' and shoutin', but I'm glad I got out in time.
